Aluminum oxidation and aluminum surface treatment

Put aluminum and aluminum alloy in the appropriate electrolyte, and use them as the anode to carry out energizing treatment. This treatment process is anodic oxidation. After anodic oxidation, the aluminum surface can generate the oxidation film with the thickness of a few microns to a few hundred microns. The oxidation film surface is cellular; compared with natural oxidation film of aluminum alloy, its corrosion resistance, abrasion performance and decorativeness are obviously improved and enhanced. Different electrolyte and process conditions are adopted, to obtain the anodic oxidation film with different nature.

Anodic oxidation overview:

Anodic oxidation film classification:
According to the application and film characteristics, the anodic oxidation film may be classified into the following types:
1、Protective film: Mainly used to improve the corrosion resistance of aluminum products, with certain abrasion performance and anti-pollution capacity;
2、Protective-decorative film: The transparent film generated through anodic oxidation may be used as the colored film, able to carry out coloring treatment, to obtain various bright colors, as well as ceramic oxidation film.
3、Abrasion resistant film: The oxidation film layer is thicker. The film with the thickness of over 20 microns usually has certain corrosion resistance.
4、Electroplating layer bottom film: It is able to be firmly combined with the aluminum substrate, having good electroconductibility.
